     The theoretical calculation of neutron multiplicity in spontaneous fission of transfermium nuclei was carried out in the frame of an improved scission point (ISP) model. The model assumes that after crossing the fission barrier, a fissile nucleus can be described as a superposition of binary systems specified by masses, charges, and deformations of its constituent fragments. The evolution of the initial distribution of binary systems is treated by solving the master equation which takes into account probabilities for the change of fragments deformations, transfer of mass and charge between the fragments and the probability to decay in relative distance. Latter process leads to the formation of the primary fission fragments distribution. The calculations were carried out to describe the recent experiments on neutron multiplicities in the spontaneous fission of $^{246}$Fm and $^{256}$Rf.

    Dr. Timur Shneidman is a senior researcher of Bogoliubov Laboratory of Theoretical Physics, Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, Dubna. His research interests include the spectroscopy of medium and heavy nuclei, the structure of the nucleus at low and intermediate energies, cluster phenomena and its manifestation in the nuclei, properties of superheavy nuclei, nuclear reaction mechanism, etc. He published more than 80 scientific papers in high-level international journals. He is the winner for First Prize in Theoretical Physics (Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, Russia, 2004,2016), Young Scientist Prize in Theoretical Physics (Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, Russia, 2011), Fellowship for Young Scientists (DAAD, Germany, 2011), Fellowship for Young International Scientists (CAS, Beijing, China, 2013,2015), etc.
