Abstract摘要
Along with the increase of measurement rates, the competition between unitary time evolution and projective measurements could prompt the steady state of a quantum many-body system to switch from a volume-law-entangled phase to a quantum Zeno phase with an area-law entanglement entropy (EE). In this talk, I will discuss our recent studies on such entanglement phase transitions in the context of non-Hermitian physics. In a one-dimensional static system with quasiperiodic non-Hermitian disorder, we found an abnormal log-law to area-law entanglement transition, which is mediated by a critical phase with a volume-law scaling in the steady-state EE. In a one-dimensional Floquet (periodically driven) system, we found alternated and reentrant entanglement transitions that can be induced and flexibly controlled by the cooperation between driving and gain/loss effects. These discoveries may have interesting implications for the understanding of quantum information dynamics and the simulation of quantum many-body systems with non-Hermitian effects.
