Time-dependent Hartree-Fock (TDHF) theory has recently been applied to various aspects of low-energy heavy-ion collisions, providing a microscopic understanding of these processes. In this talk, I will discuss the application of TDHF in studying fusion reactions, offer new insights into fusions involving deformed halo nuclei, explore its role in the synthesis of superheavy elements, and discuss possible improvements of the theory.
