  • Abstract摘要

Triangular-lattice quantum magnetic systems serve as a natural playground for geometric frustration, giving rise to fascinating phenomena. For example, Na2BaCo(PO4)2 has recently been reported to have an ideal triangular network of Co2+ ions, each carrying an effective spin of 1/2. The system is predicted to host the long-sought-after spin supersolid phase. Furthermore, a giant magnetocaloric effect has been observed in the demagnetization cooling process, exhibiting two prominent valley-like regimes, with the lowest temperature attaining below 100 mK. This finding opens an exciting avenue for applications in sub-Kelvin refrigeration. In this talk, we will present our recent research and plan that utilize density functional theory (DFT) and machine learning to explore new triangular-lattice quantum magnetic materials.
