  • Abstract摘要

The ways that we understand the microscopic world are based on quantum mechanics. Recently, there are growing interests in integrating quantum information with high-energy physics. For quantum information science, particle colliders provide vast number of events and rich benchmark systems. For particle physics, these developments introduce new techniques and helps to identify the complete underlying information. In this talk, I will revisit the recent works on connecting particle physics and quantum information science, and discuss the potential impact on both fields.

    Biography

Kun Cheng is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Pittsburgh, whose research interests lie in high‑energy phenomenology. He received his B.S. degree in 2019 and Ph.D. degree in 2024 from Peking University. His research interests cover collider physics and BSM phenomenology. His most recent interest is exploring quantum information of different systems produced in collider environments.
